A poor batting performance by Bluehouse, on a good looking Lake Meadows wicket, condemned the home side to a comprehensive 8 wicket defeat at the hands of Chignal. Only Andy Lynch (39) and Simon Cooper (34) were able to cope with the pace of Bird (12-5-25-4) and Benitt-Smith (10-1-31-2) as the home sides innings declined to an inadequate 138-9 off 45 overs.

With most of the front line bowlers injured, Bluehouse had no hope of containing R. Cant (47*) and M. Cant (43) as Chignal strolled to victory inside 30 overs. On the lighter side, Andy Lynch had his first ever league bowl in his thirteenth League season and promptly took a wicket!!
