Batting
first Rob Hunt and Kev Wood put on an opening partnership of 48, Darren
Murray then went for a duck leaving Kev Wood and Glen Jennings to put on a
further 98 before Kev Wood was dismissed LBW after reaching his first ever
half century. Bluehouse’s 185 was always going to be too much for Cockleshed
and a competent opening bowling display from young James Farley in unison
with Bob Hutton removed three of their first four batsmen quite cheaply.
Some stiff resistance was then provided by Captain Steve Russell and partner
Frank until the bowling change of Tony Gregory and Natish Patel put paid to
any chance of Cockleshed getting anything from the match. It was then left
to Andrew Carr and Terry Wildes to finish off the tail to complete a
convincing victory. |
