07-June-2003

Toss won by Old Chelmsfordians

Weather Conditions Cloudy with sunny intervals

Match Result: Bluehouse IV 122 for 8 all out from 42.1 Overs, Old Chelmsfordians IV 123 for 2 from 28.2 overs.

Bluehouse IV lost by 8 wickets.

Man of the Match: J. Hull Bluehouse IV, excellent performance with bat and behind the stumps

Captains Comments:
9 man Bluehouse lost the toss and were put into bat, at 20 for 2 J. Hull (42) entered the fray to put on 36 with K. Wood (10) and upon K. Wood’s dismissal put on a further 33 with T. Wildes (19) to achieve his best ever score and only eight short of his half century. J. McGarry then had a little cameo for 13 before Bluehouse were dismissed 5 minutes before the due time on 122. The early wicket of Chelmsfordians captain L. Gray gave Bluehouse hope, however the introduction of Burrell (72 not out) put paid to any chance of a Bluehouse win, Burrell scored at will and apart from one chance dropped at square leg never looked in any trouble. A. Carr took the other wicket but by then it was just a consolation.
